Due to some intimidation from former Gotham City Police Department member Renee Montoya, Ryan has no choice but to have Alice as a consultant when looking for the missing trophies.

It is revealed that Sara was kidnapped by Gary & his fiancé Kayla (who are both aliens). Sara's alien abduction was orchestrated by a scientist named Bishop, who created the Avas. He plans to create the perfect warrior by copying Sara's DNA and memories and combining it with other aliens upon claiming that he has seen the end of the human race. While attempting to escape her imprisonment, Sara accidentally releases a menagerie of aliens throughout the timeline, including Kayla, whom Mick becomes romantically involved with.

Team Flash joins forces with former enemies in order to defeat the Red Death, who is later revealed to be Ryan Wilder from an alternate Earth. Later, Rosso returns to infect the newly-recreated multiverse, but Barry stops him with help from Oliver Queen, John Diggle, and Wally West. After this, Eddie, who had been mysteriously resurrected with false memories, is chosen as the new avatar for the Negative Speed Force, becoming the speedster Cobalt Blue.
